Was driving from Nashville to Toronto Canada for Oktoberfest up there and about two hours into my trip and Kentucky my crank pulley has come off my car

Now I am stuck here until I figure out what to do

I can only imagine how you feel being stranded and worrying if there is any damage or not on top of that.

Did you lose the pulley or was it still laying down in the bay/undertray somewhere? Curious if there was something up with the pulley before and that is why your belt was coming off. How long have you had it installed?

Hope there is someone in the area that can help, good luck man.

Thanks bro and I can't really tell yet I can see the crankshaft and it doesn't look like it's all marked up but the pulley looks like it just pulled itself off of the crankshaft but the bolt is still in there but for some and it's all loose... I can't really get my hand in there to feel what has happened with the bolt head... There is definitely oil it looks like it came out of the crankshaft area hoping it's just from centripetal force of the oil that was already in there

Pulley Is still down there in the tray as it looks like the bolt is still in the crankshaft but just somehow backed out and it was installed only in March and it was installed at Malone's automotive in Atlanta Georgia

hard to picture this. Pulley is laying on the tray and bolt is still in the crank?

since you are only 2 hrs from your starting point, tow the car back home.

Try to upload a video from my phone but for some reason I cannot but basically I can grab the crank pulley and wiggle it all back-and-forth with my hand and at same time I can still see the bolts in the crank as I pulled pulley away from the crank

Working on the tow now mb will tow the 130 miles for $300 so not bad

Right now car is being towed by mb back to Nashville dealership as they were already here and they will look at it and then try and rape me and then I will prob have it towed to bip in Atlanta .

sorry to hear your 172 crank pulley came off..Guess it was giving you all sorts of signs that it was going to go when it kept on throwing belts. Hope its not much damage as others and i dont think mb dealer will try and fix it. They probably will tell you you need a new bottom.

thanks guys, just got you message craig and will prob get it down there to you this weekend since mb up here is booked till 10/17

here is the little video i show on side of road (can prob tell i was a little annoyed lol )... couldnt get cam in there as it was still super hot but you can see the crank is completely loose but the bolt is still in there

now i am gonna pound some alcohol!!!!
