What is the rolling circumference of those slicks? Check it vs. your fronts to see what difference there is.
More than about 2% variation from front-to-rear will cause issues. skratch77 went through a bunch of weird issues related to drag tires and fault codes.

man I had that same freaking problem,is your car an 05?
does it hate doing burn outs and will it NOT shift at redline in M mode and bounce off the rev limiter?
it goes into a funky limp mode and will throw wrong ratio codes etc.

I just did a run with 265/40ZR18 Mickey Thompsons and had no such issues. Checked diameter it's 25.7 up front and 26.5 in the rear so a difference of .8" which would be 3.11% difference

Good to know!! Finally I hear something good about owning an 03, lol!! Most times it always things that were bad and had to fixed. BTW I have had none of the common issues with 03's and I love my car!

Yup some of the 05-06s are very sensitive to variations in wheel height. Like Greg said good to stay within 2% difference.
