Offset question for wheel gurus

Out of ignorance and after trying to find some guideline to follow
that I apparently can't figure out after through researching......what offsets would work usually for an E55 on 20" wheels? This question is directly and urgently related To a set of Maya's that is available to me with these specs:
20x9 Et 42
20x10 Et 47

If I could I would request a trial fit but this is not a possibility and although I am assured by the seller they will fit I am apprehensive.

Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance!

you will need atleast a 10mm spacer all around for them to work.

The wheel diameter is not a real issue, as the tire diameter will be essentially the same, just a lower profile. Rim width is a factor, and needs to be figured into the equation.

There is a wonderful offset calculator on 1010tires

If you take what you know to work, or stock ET, you can see the effect of the new offset.

For the E55 I use ET32 Front (8.5") and ET40 Rear (10")

Plug this in as "Starting size" and then whatever you are looking at. It will tell you the effect (in or out) of the particular ET

Front
For this set, you have a 9" front vs. a stock wheel width of 8.5. You will have 16mm less clearance inside. With a 10MM spacer, you will still have 6mm less inside, and will stick out 6mm on the outside

Rear
Inside 7mm LESS
Outside 7mm inset

(7MM Spacer would be best fit, 10MM might be OK)

Appreciate the quick replies and valuable info! Once again I find myself hesitant to run spacers, guess I'll keep looking!

So I might have to fool around with the spacer size to get a perfect fit but is there any reason to believe I won't be able to make these fit at all?
Anybody have a recommendation on a place to get quality spacers?
This may be too sweet a deal to pass up, but I'm worried about vibration issues. Thanks again for the input fellas!
