Clarification re: electrical tranny connector/O rings
Like most 55 engines...the tranny connector on my SL55 is leaking.
I understand that part 130 in the diagram is the connector. However, do I also need to change part 135 and 140...which are O rings? I know the connector has been revised a few times...so I'm not sure if the revised connector comes with the 135/140 O rings or ?
Any clarification would be helpful, thanks.

Correct
The newest version will have black o rings and actually don't leak. The first design had red o rings, second redesign used clear and the third design that works are black o rings. FYI it is usally 1/2 a bottle to bring fluid to the correct level if you don't have the dip stick tool

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
If is is leaking and has been for sometime, take a few moments and check the TCU connections for ''bleed' as the trans fluid in some cases and walk up the cable into the TCU taking it out requiring replacement or cleaning. The small bolt inside the connector also strips easily, not too tight.
