E55 alternator same as any other mercedes?
Does the E55 share the same alternator as any other Mercedes?

I think mine may be out and don't feel like paying the AMG cost.

Go to amazon and get yours. I got mine for little over $200 shipped to me. It's the AL0826 model.

E55 AMG
Have you tested the alternator? If not, I would definately have it confirmed before you start tossing parts at the car in order to fix the issue. At $200-$400, the alternator isn't too costly, but if it isn't the issue, the sum will start to add up.
