Whats the catch ?
I found a guy selling E63 2007 with 66k miles (pano, keyless ..) .. the title is rebuilt, he says it was stolen and the original owner claimed with the insurance company to buy another AMG, before this car was recovered ... 60K service done, intake manifold gasket work done is all the repair history he's told me ... He's asking 26 grand, Is this a good price ? I'm hesitant abt the "stolen" story ... Also, can someone recommend an after-market insurance company

This place is a joke.
Many banks will not finance a branded title car, and the rebuilt title is a hard sell to anyone, hence the low price. Just be ready for a hard sell and a low price if you ever decide to sell it yourself. Stolen and wrecked, stolen and driven into a lake, stolen and stripped for parts? You'll probably never know.

I'm no experct but you should have no issues with insurance (my car is reconstructed). And I have a bunch of friends that bought salvage cars and reconstructed them. Google the vin# and you can probably find the auction listing that he got it from to see the car before it was "fixed".
I don't understand why everyone is so worried lol If it's recovered theft.. there probably wasn't much or anything really wrong with it.. So if you're getting a GREAT deal then why not?
Just beware and look up all the info and check out the car and bring a mechanic that is familiar with the car if need be.

IF it was really cheap, but it ain't that cheap. If you're going to keep it forever, and don't mind the difficulty in reselling it, they are good fun to drive.

Well you can have the car "totaled" by insurance and then you can buy it back.
And also.. I'm pretty sure that if your car is stolen.. even if they recover it the next day, you don't have to take it back.

Sometimes it honestly depends on the car. Some cars with clean titles that I've seen are almost destroyed lol.
If i were buying a car for my self that wouldn't scare me at all. I would just go check the car out and if I like it and everything seems legit, I'd make an offer... But that's just me.

If you jump in on this set some cash aside and learn to DIY otherwise it could be nightmare. I have seen people buy and fix cars that were damaged or cracked up good and bring them back but they take lots of effort and work and of course $$$. To be honest if you can afford to spend a little more you could find a E63 thats clean. Having just bought a 07 and ignoring that listing a million times, stay away man. You can get a 07 with that kind of mileage for low 30s now. CarFax usually has a 60-70K car around 32-33. There was also a dealer in Dallas with a 24K Flint Grey for only 32K. With those types of cars, with clean titles available, avoid the thirst, and wait.
