First run didn't get timed. Don't know what happened.

Second run:

Third run the trans went into limp mode.

Was not as cold as Wednesday night.

Thanks alot man! Yes the car is in dyno mode. The 2 times it's gone into limp mode I've had real bad wheel hop/spin on the launch. I was going sideways when it went into limp mode this time.

Big Easy, why do you switch to dyno mode?

All my best times were done in dyno mode. Since I've started modding the car, I've launch it so many different ways. I find that this works best for me. I keep breaking sh*t if I launch it any other way.

Hmm interesting I've never tried dyno mode, I wonder if I need to try that in order to hit 1.6 or better

Not to step on E's toes, but dyno mode is not a requirement, just an option. Perhaps the better times are a result of a better burnout in dyno mode? It seems that each model year reacts differently to the given tune on that car. I had one tune on my car which made it difficult to spin even the street tires without the throttle cutting back. Fwiw, none of the track passes on my car were made in dyno mode, and it has never gone into limp mode either. The bottom line is to just figure out what works best for you and your ride.

E, I'll be tuned in to read about your new PB this weekend. Good Luck!

I've had the occasional limp mode problem in dyno mode as well as sport mode. I've made passes in and out of dyno mode with about the same results. These cars are just so weird it seems.

Yes every car is different. You have to figure out what works best for you.

Thanks, I'll keep you posted.

How do you make a pass NOT in dyno mode with drag radials/slicks? Do you do a burnout in dyno mode then turn car off and take out of dyno mode? Or do you just do a small burnout powerbraking it for that 1 second it lets you then let off brake doing a rolling burnout up to the line and just say that is good enough?

My car would let me doing burnouts without being in dyno mode and i'm talking about 2nd gear rolling 1/8th mile burnouts without the computer going crazy.

That is crazy, what year is yours? This is what I would do with my 05. Power brake then have to let off brake and start rolling when I feel it start to cut power, keep foot planted, then it will stay blazing until I let off to stop at the line.

I absolutely cannot burnout without dyno mode while power braking. The only thing it will do is rolling burnouts, even then, it cuts power some.
