So the regular sunroofs have had minimal problems if any?
Also, what does it cost to make the horsepower that you are making? I am guessing that u have a pulley and tune correct? Thanks

You know there are some tuning packages which you can purchase which promise ~50-150 hp gains. For example Eurocharged has three stage packages and stage 1 would have like ~70 hp including TUne and all then it goes up from there.
You can get an idea from their website.

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Regular sunroofs are pretty solid.
I have heard panos squeak often due to flexing and they add weight.
And yes, I know you want white but its very hard to find.

I never open my Pano roof because of afraid breaking it. Mine is 06 no solar pannel. 03 and 04 come with solar that has a fan to cool off the car while park outside. Pano is cool to have but weight extra 80Lbs.

I have an 03 with a pano and no squeeks or rattles. I do get a bit of a grinding in the rails when its sliding though. Looks like the lube in the rails is dried up though. Plan on lubing it up again and seeing if that fixes it. With all the stories and being I have the older 03 I figured I'd have noise but I'm good.

I have 178mm pulley, kleeman shorty headers, 80mm throttle body which is really 78mm inside, tune with 550cc injectors and cooling stuff like bigger heat exchanger and higher flow pump and different mufflers with x pipe and cat delete. Around $7k

On my '05 E55 pano, a metal rod with a spring on it broke. The spring flew off and is loose, and now the metal rod pops straight up when I open the roof. I have to manually tuck it back in when closing. I haven't looked into fixing it yet. Anyone else experience this and know what it takes to fix it?

Figured I'd chime in. Lots of people complain that Pano rattles or squeeks. I have an 05 and it is great. I don't have the squeeking, creeking, or rattles that some people have mentioned. I use mine all the time too.

I've got an '06 with 85K miles and used it almost daily. It has worked well with no rattles or creaks (other than extreme driveway angles). Just recently the motor gear started slipping due to a common flaw with the motor housing. Motors usually run about $300 for new OEM but can be found cheaper (found mine on ebay new for $60). Takes a couple hours to change.
I miss mine a lot but have not had time to work on it lately. That being said, I would not consider the Pano pivotal option when searching for a car. If a great car came up with or without pano if wouldn't matter to me. If comparing two similar deals and one had pano I would go that route.

That was my next question, the weight...I thought it was 80lbs. My opinion is that a white car looks sooo much better with pano...just too much white without it, weight or no weight.
