Fault Code Question

Hi All
I have searched the forums, and Google, and cant find the answer. Probably because its a hard thing to search for.

I plugged Star Diag in to check why my ESP light comes on now & then.

Seems to be Steering Angle Sensor.

What i want to know is though, some fault codes come up as Capital "F", some Lowercase "f" and some others "i" (In a box, like an "information" symbol.

Can someone clarify what they mean?

Thanks
I have posted some pics so you all understand what im talking about.

Thanks

The "f" means it has failed that check. You can click on it to try and further diagnose it.

F = Fault is current and store
f = Fault was present previously and but not current anymore
! = DAS is having trouble communicating with the specific module

Excellent.

Thank you very much for the clarification.

How weird about the Xenons having a fault. They both work fine.

Anyway I am getting a new steering angle sensor. And I will look into the braking issue when I fit my new discs and pads this week.

Thank you
