AlpharettaC32, so did you gas pedal cost $75 or $175? Double check that SLK R170 gas pedal part number. It was posted previously as:

170-300-01-04

Thanks.

Thanks.
I'm confident of the 00 number. I paid $70 for all 3 parts, and I've seen people get a lower price. My dealer (RBM of Atlanta) just likes to squeeze me, is all.

The 00 is just the tongue of the accelerator. The 01 includes the bracket that the tongue slips into and is held down by (at least that's my understanding).

Besides, I cut and pasted that number, so I know it's good. Contact your dealer to confirm it. Parts should be available next day (I know of no dealer who stocks this part).

Figured out the pedals

OK, finally had some time to get this sorted out. AlpharettaC32 is correct - here are the parts and approx price:
Here are the part #s:

170-300-00-04 $25 (accelerator)

170-290-01-82 $21.60 (brake)

230-430-00-84 $11.60 (e-brake)

This is a really easy project. Here are the steps. First, remove the accelerator (ok, this picture is post-install, but you get the idea)

Here are the parts laid out. I removed the pedal cover from the backing plate (in the picture they are leaned up against each other). You can also see the various parts - looks complicated, but comes apart very easy.

Take the new pedal cover and install it on the original backing plate. THe pedal covers just peel off by hand. Also note the difference b/w the 170 and the 211 backing plates in the previous picture.... the 170 will not work on the 211.

Finally, you can see how it all fits together before install back in the car.

Note that the e-brake and brake cover plates just pull on/off. Nothing special to do there.

Where is this comment coming from???

Anyway, Motor Trend September 98 had an article on the 99 Corvette, that car ran 0-60 on 4.8 secs, and 1/4 mile of 13.3 @ 108 mph

My car is a 99 and it was MBUSA estimate of 5.0 0-60, yet I've ran 13.3s in stock and with k&n air filters I can run 13.12 (my best), that would equate to a 4.8 0-60 for the E55, so it is possible.

i have the article if yo want more proof

Pedal upgrade is easier for W210. Direct swap. No need to separate the pad from backing plate or disconnect any electrical connections. See my post:
