THIS is straight from their FAQ
What is a CANBUS BALLAST FOR?
It’s used for any flickering on your HID lights or if you have a light out message on your dash.
-CANBUS BALLAST WOULD FIX IT ALL…
What are the most affected vehicles?
-Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Mercedes, VW
Can I install this ballast on a non CANBUS set of bulbs?
-Yes
Is this the same as a capacitor or canceller cable?
-Yes, because the CANBUS ballast comes with an integrated Capacitor.
Is this ballast universal for any HID kit?
-Yes, and they are plug and play to your HID bulb.
Can I use the ballast even if I don’t have any issues with my HID lights?
-Yes, CANBUS BALLAST will last you longer than any other ballast, plus it will help to have an error free HID kit.
and if anyone is wondering who manufactures them... they are made by "Khoalty"

You get what you pay for with the China made brands. I wouldn't touch anything that isn't osram, phillps or mtec.
