Buying the part is not the problem, it costs about $350 new. You need a scanner capable of relieving the SBC brake fluid pressure to swap the part out ( 45 minute job ).

Can I just disconnect the battery and the sbc connector to swap it out and open the bleeder valve on the calipers to releave the pressure.
I have a bleeder system if I need to bread the brakes

Won't work as the calipers aren't under pressure when off but the reservoir IS under pressure at all time.

Buy an autoenginuity scanner with the mercedes extension. Between the scanner and the part it should be cheaper than what the dealer is charging and you and you have a very valuable tool to keep.

As far as I know the autoenginuity scanner is the only "cheap" scanner that can do it.

I bought it from that same site.

Awesome thank you GT-ER I will order it. And your right you do need one of these scanners at home for a merc, because the scanner I have is mostly for american cars.

Plus the scanner you told me to get pretty much pays for itself that I would have got a tech to use only once
