Is Gold the same as Pewter?
Looked at some e55's and really like the ones whose color, according to the owner, is PEWTER.
I've seen ads for "GOLD" colored e55's and was wondering if they're one in the same. The pics look the same.

The pewter color MB uses is kinda tricky... depending on the lighting it can appear gray / gold.

When was the last time you checked the price of gold? Hell if you got some gold I'll give you your $0.75/oz ... Especially since GOLD is @ about $1,800/oz!!!

Desert Silver Metallic (693) and Pewter Silver Metallic (723) are two distinct colors.
Sometimes desert silver metallic photographed in low light looks dark gray.
I can assure you that in person, it definitely looks like it belongs in the cafeteria of Hometown Buffet.
Desert Silver was discontinued in 2005.

I think white and pewter are the best colors for W211's. Both look 100% better with the pano roofs as well.
