So i just got new wheels for my e63 i got the Cv3 19" inch Vossens and havnt put them on yet.
My question is how can i lower my AMG suspension so it rides low on my cv3's? I went to my local MB dealer and they plugged my car into the system and tryed lowering my AMG suspensions down which wouldnt work because somehow the system is locked for it to go down too low when standing still, everytime they set it lower and unplug the program from the car it automatically resets to default.
I know even if i change to my Cv3's now it wouldnt look as great as i want it to be because it would leave too much side spaces front and rear.
I want it to ride low leaving as little space as possible between the tires.
Help would be appreciated

Your options are:
1. Washers method/bending the rear bracket...I tried this
2. Going to someone that knows how to lower via Star...I tried this as well
3. Lowering links...thinking about this.
4. Lowering module...pricey.
All fairly easy to do. G luck

whoever at the dealer tried to lower via STAR didn't know what they were doing - post up where you are - i had my local shop lower mine and there are alot of people out there who can help for a minimal charge - if you are looking to lower it on the cheap search out the washer method -
Also look for a used lowering module - plug and play or buy lowering links - you have alot of options -
also, post up some pics!

Ahhh ive heard about the washing method but it just seems to risky for me on the long run, so i guess my only option is to find someone now who can work the Star system correctly and the renntech kit is my last choice as it is not cheap.
I havnt yet to put the Cv3's on since i want to figure out on how to lower the suspensions before i do so.
I will definitely post pics for you guys when its complete though

If you are patient, you can sometimes find someone looking to get rid of a lowering module for cheap. I just picked up a Programa module with remote (same as Renntech V2) for $400 off another forum member. works perfectly.

When doing the STAR you can only go so low; have to stay with in voltage parameters. However, I think you will find that doing star with a set of washers will give you the ideal "sporty" stance. Not too low, just right where the thread is tucked but not the entire tire well..

2 things -
Other than price (and ease of change), are lowering modules and lowering links comparable in range-of-adjustment?
What color car and wheels? I've been looking for pics of various silver 19"s on black E63s/55s, but everyone and their mom is running black/titanium wheels and/or 20"s.

and what would happen if i only lowered the front and not the back? any side effects on the long run? Does anyone with exp know if it will effect the performance of the car?

I have an MB extended warranty for another 4 years. Any idea if lowering links will void it for suspension components? I suppose if something went wrong I could remove them before taking it in, but it's more likely they'd be noted during normal service/inspection.

U may have to remove the links everytime you bring it for a normal service/inspection? Does anyone else have any suggestions for him? I know how the delearships can be real particular about voiding warranties

That's what I was thinking, which would suck. I guess I'll have to be on the look out for a used lowering module instead. It's a shame they're so wildly overpriced (at least the Renntech one I saw was)
