This place is a joke.
Not sure if this helps, my car has stock injectors-but after my last tune if I got into stop and go traffic my idle would surge, hunt and buck.I raised the base idle speed with STAR diag, both in park and "with gear engaged" and the problem went away. Its easy to do and worth a try.

Also make 100% sure your O2 sensor wires aren't swapped L/R. Its easy to make that mistake

Please figure out what's going on as I am doing this exact set-up next week.. Changing my current tune to EC and adding TTM 82mm TB 550 injectors and rail.. Also going with EC TCU tune and a Quaiffe LSD.. This has me a little worried, as I dont want problems.. GOOD LUCK....

Assuming no air leaks (on the intake, vacuum and exhaust side), all is good with the O2 sensor, wires and extenders, and the bigger TB is good, here are some possible solutions to these rough/lumpy idle, p0106 or related problems involving a bigger TB:

1. Like E55 greasemonkey says, raising both the idle rpms when the gear is in park/neutral and in drive, using star;

2. Increase the open percentage of the TB blade, using star;

3. Increase the voltage to the MAP sensor, this is thru your tuner; and

4. Doing a hard TB reset.

I've heard of this Problem in a German Forum after a guy installed a 82MM TB without any other changes. It was running so lean that it finally ended in a catastrophic engine failure.
The ECU (or whatever) has to be properly adjusted for the new TB. This is crucial.

Thanks for the support! I am a Master Tech. I was one of the largest Kleemann dealers back in the early 2000's before i left the biz. I built one of these in 04 with the larger throttle body using all Kleemann parts and a 168 pulley. The car ran like new until totaled!

That said, YES. I have raised the idle in P and D to get rid of the idle code. I have driven the car for 3-5 k miles. No check engine light.

If I reset adaptation, it will idle nicely. On rebound, from driving coming down to idle...it will idle in the 12 range...then pick up to 14.7. After adaptation, the rebound is in the high 13's and it starts to run lean and hop and jump and lump at idle. Driving down the road at times, feels like it has NO power. After reset, it goes away.

The throttle body is a plug n play s550 factory unit. It had 12k miles on it.

I have checked the o2 sensors... I think it is running VERY rich at idle when i reset it. So, the computer compensates too much and it starts running lean.

I have read several posts on this forum where others had similar problems and they were resolved by tuning from Jerry. Does anyone know about these other cars?

I have never heard of increasing the map voltage via tune. Please elaborate.

I have done all of the others.

What short term and long term fuel trims are you seeing when it becomes lean?

Well, After this post, Jerry called me and we worked together...

I connected my star tester and reset some things that Jerry suggested...So far NOTHING has helped. I guess I am going to go back with the stock injectors and and a tune for them to see if the injectors are the problem.

As a side note, the injectors came from Fabtech early on. I wonder if this is the problem???

I actually ran into a similar problem myself. I had one bad injector that was causing pure hell. It would only happen every so often and I only finally found it after it went haywire and dumped a ton of fuel at idle. Turned the car off to find 1.5" of fuel sitting on top of the valve! (well that and the fact that the garage filled with smoke within seconds.

Good idea to swap to stock and see if it continues. Keep us posted!

I just finished reinstalling the stock injectors and removing the 550's that i purchased from Fabtech. Soooo. I am very happy to say, the new Eurocharged tuning worked perfectly...i got Adam to update the software on my laptop and Jerry turned around my 4 tunes in 2 hours! Now I cna select between tunes any time i want. Super Slick!, I think these guys are top notch.

I will let u guys know what the outcomeis after i drive for a week or so.

An update.... With the stock injectors, new tune, NEW factory 82mm throttle body, default initialization from my star tester. ... The damn car still surges like hell after running at 70mph for about 10 min or so with very light throttle. It will run so lean, it will almost shut off... I am hating this. So, tomorrow im connecting a fuel pressure gauge and starting from scratch.

Donnie, to me it sounds like you have a bypass valve/SC pulley problem. The valve is staying shut after a pull and that's why it's surging and the SC clutch is staying engaged at idle and that's why it runs so lean at idle.
