--lowering links questions--

Hey guys I know a lot here know about lowering links so I need to clarify some questions.
I am going to the shop in sat and want to lower my rear about half inch more and front maybe a quoter...
And thx Craig for helping me figure it out, since I havent gone to the shop yet thought id get some more insight.

Here is what I have so far..

Rear- make it.shorter to lowe
Front- make it longer to lower

Every 5mm lower than stock will lower car 28mm (←is this a fact??)

Now am not stock anymore so ill measure current links and make them shorter/longer by 5mm

lol regardless of the info you find here, what will ultimately happen is you'll spend about 2-3 hours adjusting and fine tuning it...I think that pretty much goes for all of us that have done this mod.

You're on the right track.

And oh, that rear link is a ***** to work on. I use a combination of a spanner and 12" bar to help align it etc...it's kinda like trying to eat with chopsticks, but your neck hurts and stuff keeps flicking into your eyes.

Don't forget to take side profile before/after shots too! :p

Aahhhhh I see (damn your car is nice)

I think for half an inch, you only need to give the rear two full rotations on the head/nut thingy. For the front, one full rotation should be all you need? Not sure on that one.

The rear one is difficult to see/find at first when you're not sure what you're looking for. Lucky for you, it's already done, so you know to look for a shiny thin metal bar - it's above the diff casing that has AMG written on it. So incredibly tight in there though.
