  • Fontana has been closed since July of last year.
  • I have never seen any events held at Pomona
  • Irwindale is closed

The best (and only) option for 1/4 mile is a private rental. That does not seem to happen....

I heard horror stories about Fontana, so Im glad I never went:

300 cars

Get two runs

If you go faster than 11.5 (without a certified roll cage), your experience is limited to one run, then they pull your card

Drag racing in California happens on dark back streets.. nice and dangerous like- as it should.

This is why I told them to load up the hauler and come to Sac. It's open year round and if you can get it to hook you will be happy. Although your trap now reads about 2.3 mph slow but the et is dead on. In my last trips there I have made a total of 5 runs and all were under 11.5 and my last two runs were in the 10's

This car is awesome, I would love to have a W212 but the price is still too rich 4 my blood. I predict these cars will get into some 9's very soon prob w/ a little bit of weight reduction. I dont really like the body of the W212 but the 2013 body looks better than the current body style IMO. 4matic will prob increase sales of theses cars and maybe in 5 yrears when I could afford one the mods will be very readily available. 700hp/700tq will be moderate and dudes will be trying to break 1000hp/1000tq lol. I can wait for the damn future lol.

Our last real drag racing was done at Pomona. It was extremely unorganized and they would only allow 3 runs per day per car. For a "test and tune" you get 3 chances at it. Either way we still knocked off a 10.20 at 144mph with our M156 supercharged CLK Black Series.

Fontana won't reopen for a while. That's the end of that.

Fomoso is the only chance for guys in SoCal. We have signed up on numerous private events and rain, snow, or some other kind of complication didn't allow us to run.

The new E63 body style comes out this summer, so now ricer excuses then. That being said, I will probably go CLS63 AWD myself, as I need more room.

I'll vouch for this statement. The 1/8th is the best we can seem to do. Not cool.

If you all feel like firing up a crowd, bring one of those beasts down to the bi-monthly drag races at Qualcomm stadium here in San Diego. Do send me a PM if you actually do this.

I think most would agree, and if I had a 700 HP bi turbo in a new engine format ,, then I would do whatever it took to have it shipped, flown, driven or trailored to a good 1/4 mile track ASAP.
