HEADLAMP IGNITOR OR SOLENOID?
Gents,
My Indy did a quick check on my left headlight that's OUT and said that it wasnt the bulb, but he said it could be the ignitor or the solenoid up the line a bit. Any ideas of what those replacements parts might cost new? Can somebody recommend a good website for these parts (non-dealer) or a crashed E55 that somebody has that might still have these parts intact? Thanks as always!

Easy to check - you can pull off the ignitor off the back of the bulb and swap them from side to side...if its not that - then you can look towards the ballast itself - but sadly that pretty much requires you to pull out the headlight which means pulling off the bumper...
Would start with the ignitor...
Good luck.

Ebay has them ranging from 35ish up to 100...
Just do search "Hella ignitor" and you can find all kinds - I think I saw a few new ones for the $50 range...
Sadly - I bet is will be the ballest - thats the part that normally fails.
Let me know if you have any other Q's
Cheers
