Just bought a 2004 E55 AMG...Star Diagnostics....
hey guys. Its been a while since Ive wrote on here. I had sold my CL600 over the summer and been hunting an E55 for months.....and i finally found THEE one. I purchased a 2004 E55 AMG in the midnight blue color. The previous owner was an older gentleman from FL. This car has EVERY OPTION minus distronic. Pano, AC seats, Keyless Go, Parktronic, Sunshades in the doors etc. I am very happy with the purchase and know the car was not molested or beat the crap out of. However i have been spending countless hours on the forum searching what needs to be done to prevent any issues with 90K babied mile E55...here is the plan....
Just got the Bosch '010 Pump in the mail and now i am working on getting an FTP HE. Also planning on upgrading the fuel rails and injectors from FTP to address and avoid the "Cylinder 8" issue. I really want to take care of all the "issues" and preventive measures to avoid the nightmares i had with my CL.
After addressing all the known issues with the car, I will start getting into the serious performance upgrades...but first, i need your help....
I want to purchase the most up to date computer diagnostic tools for the car. I feel that with the right tools, i could learn and address more issues with these cars. I am good with tech stuff while having a degree in automotive engineering. I want to purchase the equipment to do all the adjustments and diagnostics on my car by myself. Let me know that you guys think....
I live in Long Island NY and i hope to meet some other E55 guys on here that are local.

Awesome! Star das is your friend. I got one from an mb tech. Sorry, but get your injectors and rail from TTM. I don't think the rail is Necessary but injectors are a must. I have EC injectors and have had no issues pushing 550+whp.
