idle too high P0507 after cleaning throttle body and valve cover gaskets

idle too high P0507 after cleaning throttle body and valve cover gaskets
over the weekend I replaced my plugs, valve cover gaskets, and wiped the inside of my throttle body clean.
I started my car and noticed a high idle 1200-1400-rpm. I went for a test drive and immediately saw a check engine light. I went back home and scanned the car with my rev2 app iphone and saw P0507 idle too high code. I tried to clear but it would come back. Tried reset ECU trick...no luck. tried to reset throttle body....no luck. I was suspecting I needed STARS to relearn TPS on the throttle body because I moved the flap inside it. After searching and many people saying check hoses....I found nothing. I inspected the throttle body again tonight and BAM found it.
Metal line attached to drivers side valve cover closest to firewall. Follow this line towards throttle body. Connects to driver side of throttle body close to the surge tank. I had to remove my surge tank to reattach.
Oh I had to put a piece of carpet on engine to crawl up on this biatch to make love to her while inserting the "tube" I wanted to get a good view

yahhh i freaked out when mine was like that, and than i asked shardul here on the forum and told him whats going on. He immediately pointed me that hose and said its probably not in. So i go to look at and boom it wasn't. Put it back in and smooth as butter

Proof that searching the forum is your friend. I just changed all my hoses and valve cover gaskets, then got P0505 and P0507 codes. Sure enough it was that damned hose underneath the surge tank.

Good that you found it, its quite hard to spot if you dont know exactly where to look. Once you've spotted it, you cannot unsee it again, so next time its easier.
