Guys,

I traded in my E55. It sucked to walk away from it as i really liked the car. one of the main reasons i got rid of it is cause of the fuel tank issue. A tech wanted to talk to me about the car as he was going to buy it and told me he figured out a cheap solution. Another tech bought one and they lowered the gas tank and sealed it with windshield glue and the car is perfectly fine for a while now. He told me that is what he plans to do with my old car. just wanted to pass along the info. If anyone else has any specific questions about it please feel free to pm me.

Thanks for the info. I love how MB techs know how to fix it but can't really share since MB USA refused to acknowledge its a known problem.

Haven't filled mine over half since the second time they changed my fuel senders
