I did the cooling system split on my 06 E55.

Took it to the self serve car wash to hose down the engine bay and the underside before putting the belly pans back one.

Well, ended up with this wire hanging in the wind. I cannot find where it goes.



My OAT display in the dash is now reading -40F so it must go to the outside air temp sensor. I just can't find the thing to plug it back in, or it is gone.

Any idea where the temp sensor is??

in the driver side fog light mesh just behind it is a hole it kinda snaps into

that appears to be the connector and not the actual sensor as the sensor is a rubber rifle bullet shape that snaps into a grommet in your driverside fog light mesh... it looks like your connector downstream somewhere has come unconnected... just find the sensor in your foglight mesh and follow it back to where it came unconnected

I did find the hole in the fog light mesh where the sensor should be, but it is gone.

I will get a new one ordered up.
