This is a great start, and I agree GregMB has put in a lot of effort +++.

E owners keep submitting the complaints.

Great start, but we need more exposure. Many thanks to GregMB and others at the forefront of this.

They love to stress that no fires or injuries have happened, is that what they are waiting for?

That's GREAT coverage.... I'm pleased to see it.

Obviously, they don't have the latest info on the E55 reports. My last update of the spreadsheet shows a total of 80 E55's with official ODI numbers logged with NHTSA. It's going to be awfully hard to explain this away as "damage from incorrect recall service" for that many cars..... unless they insist that their dealers (and service techs) are grossly incompetent.

Thanks to all of you on MBWorld for keeping the pressure on, and for pestering the membership here to file official ODI claims with NHTSA. I know at times it seems pointless, but the sheer numbers of complaints logged will eventually force MB-USA to respond in a more meaningful way.

Would love to see this on fox news or CNN, that would be great and would hurt MB's reputation

Looks like a lot of news agencies are picking this story up... including Fox, CBS, NBC, Yahoo News, etc.

I just went into Photobucket and made sure all my pics have good "tags" on them so that people searching for Google Images will find lots of relevant and scary stuff too.

No, I meant on tv broadcasts, just like they did for Toyota, ford etc. when they had problems

We'll have to see what happens. It seems like a pretty big explosion in reporting and the fact that NHTSA announced it was expanding its investigation to include 250,000 cars (last Friday) makes the story a lot bigger than it had been previously.

Fingers crossed!

Absolutely! I hope that MB actually makes a new part instead of just replacing with the same parts endlessly, in the long run its better for them to just make a new part

I'm glad finally we are getting coverage. And that nhtsa are looking at 250,000 and not just the few hundred complaints. It's going to expand to other class cars I'm sure if they use he same parts. But I think instead of designing new part, mb will settle w each owner $xxxxx

I would looooooooooove to have my $1500 back that I spent on this repair... probably not gonna happen, but I'll dream about Kleemann headers in the small case that it does.
