Does anybody know how to get the MYGENIUS programmer out of RECOVERY MODE?

I'm bumping the thread as I have exactly the same problem.

The device is in recovery mode and basically refuses to do anything else whether I have it hooked up to the car or to the PC. I also tried updating the device with no effect.

I was able to get the MYGENIUS out of RECOVERY mode but had to have Eurocharged send me a new .abl file for uploading to the MYGENIUS and then also updating the software in the MYGENIUS as well, basically as you did in the beginning when you first use the MYGENIUS.

But after trying to use the MYGENIUS the next time it has gone back into RECOVERY mode so I am guessing I will need another .abl file for downloading into the unit? I have been in continual contact with Eurocharged since these problems started for me about 6 days ago and believe we are just about to work it all out.

I tried reloading the original .ABL file and it said mygenius could not accept it.

Is getting and loading a new .ABL file from EC what took it out of recovery mode or did you do something else to get to that point?

You need to use a new .abl file which you can get from Eurocharged. You are correct in saying the original .abl file does not work again as that is what happened to me.

Yes once you receive the newer .abl file and download it into the MYGENIUS your MYGENIUS will be out of RECOVERY mode.
