Since I installed the Eisenmann mufflers, I'm having interference issues with the mufflers and heat shields. The mufflers are rattling/buzzing on the shields and it sounds terrible. I tried a few things without success and the tips are already aligned perfectly and not touching the diffuser so I don't want to have them rewelded. I tried bending the shields and shimming with rubber spacers and heat tape but it melted right off. Can I drop the rear exhaust and remove those stock muffler heat shields without any side effects? Has anyone removed these from their car without issues?
