Search for airmatic, intercooler pump and fuel tank leak to get you started.
Eurocharged pulley, tune, heat exchanger, pump and coolant isolation.

Your upkeep and repair cost would be less on a g37 but the E is a good amount faster and more fun in my opinion. Also much easier to pick up more power. Honestly neither sound right for your current situation.

/\ this. Dont live beyond your means. Worry about school and any debt (if any) incurred from it. When you graduate and land a good job is when you should worry about buying a car that retailed for close to 100k. No need to start your life digging out of a deep enough hole.

I will still go for the E55 Vs the G37, as the nicer E55 is motivat5ion to work harder, study harder and find the way to keep the car alive!
I have seen plenty of G37`s cost a ton to keep up wtih as well. Like shifter issues and the front wheel drive Cv joints, etc.

Exotic-metal did make a good point since I forgot that the g37 have massive clutch issues, it has cost a friend nearly 9k getting it sorted out. Granted he paid the shop for everything.

As someone who spent 10 years (yea, that's no typo) in college and someone who owned a couple different cars through that time, I would definitely recommend the G37 out of those 2 options. I would recommend several other cars first.
I spent way, way, way longer in school because I started out with a brand new 30K car, then moved to a corvette, then to a luxury car and so forth. I've always been into cars and didn't mind spending money on them; however, its tough to get a good job and be successful in school at the same time if you plan on finishing in a decent amount of time. I know at that age I enjoyed working, and I did well in school but I also spent a lot of time hanging out with buddies. You will be surprised how much of your repairs and maintenance budget gets blown on Miller Lite and Jaeger.
Seriously though, if you can budget the G37, I think you will be most pleased with that and will have way more money to spend on things beside your car and enjoy your time, not that the G37 is a slouch. I'm sure the E55 is roughly the same price, but I would be guess the Infiniti is probably newer and has lower miles; plus the maintenance is lower. I've had a Nissan and a G35 and never had to spend more than 500 to 700 for any repair (doing the work myself).

This place is a joke.
Buy yourself a used Honda Civic with 20-30k miles so someone else takes the depreciation. Keep the oil changed,do the timing belt when it's required. Finish college, find a career and then worry about buying a fun car. Owning any AMG at this point is nothing more than buying a car you can't afford to maintain.

Most of the opinions here are right on the dot.
If your parents are rich and will be footing your bill when it came to maintenance and what not then you can get the E55 , if the only thing they will be doing is
buy you the car then get something cheaper. I understand you would want to look cool driving an AMG and depending where you from it could be the only one at the school but in the
end of the day , the looks stay at school and if something breaks "the swag" "cool factor" does not get you discounts on mechanics bill. This car is cheap to get now but still
costs the same amount to fix as a 100K car would cost.
Good luck
