Paint warranty

I know I saw it somewhere here on the site but can't find it now. Does Mercedes warranty their paint?

i had a rust issue on my C32 and car was under warranty
Dealer took care of it. I lived on the beach at the time and all cars get rust from being exposed to the salt air...even in a underground garage

In the US, I believe it is only during your warranty period.

I was hoping it was not for the warranty period for the car. I have a couple of spots that could not come out when I had paint corrected detailed.

yes the mb standard warranty also applies to corrosion
however Ive heard comparisons where BMW and Audi offer 12 year protection
