Wow! Beautiful. I'm considering a set of KSports to fix 2 broken springs I have on my CLK 350. After hearing your testimony I may very well be sold. I saw D2's on some website and I like the purple a little better than the orange. Now I don't know which I should get, ha!
Also, you're pretty lucky to have a dealer that is comfortable doing aftermarket work for you. I think the place near me, MB Maplewood in Minnesota is a lot more hesitant to go after that kind of stuff. Very nice though!

So was this a UPD product? Can you PM me the total price for the conversion and labor? I have a shop that has done many air shock conversions. One on my expedition. They are very fair.

You can get the lower control arms for about 175 each brand new and the the coilovers depending on the brand is about 1000$-2200$
Don't get used lower control arms unless you change the bushing
It's about 4-6 hours of labor

You don't need new lower control arms for E55 AMG if you get the Strutmasters kit.
ETA: Strange, I just checked the Strutmasters website and they are only showing kits for S class Mercedes.

Hey man. Curious about the dash lights when air matic is taken out. Can my tuner take that out? I have raceIQ with Anthony. I see modules on Arnot and strutmaster but they won't sell them separately anyway. I'm going with Ceika coilovers I believe
4 Months in and I absolutely love it. The ride is smooth, a little stiffer but not a huge difference. Power sliding/ drifting is a lot easier to control through corners. I cant wait to get her on the track.
Ted had this done in one day, took the car in the morning and had it the same day before they closed.
To sum it up, I love my conversion and will give rides to any members that would like to feel how it is.

Hell yeah! Thanks man. Yeh I want to get the BC coilovers or the Ceikas. I gotta do something about the suspension. So much power and such little performance on the handling aspect. My car has 20s with 245/30r20 and 305/25r20 rear. It has 700 HP with 72 mm fixed pulley and lots of other mods. So it's time on the suspension!

Well honestly I don't know how much power it has. Never Dyno it. But full list of mods are 6.0 SLR pistons , 550 cc injectors., 82 mm tb, 72mm fixed pulley, full carbon fiber intake, looped fuel rail, Meziere pump intercooler, large front intercooler 30x8 and obviously tuned by RaceIQ. It's pretty stellar. Not gonna lie. It runs hard.

Handeling is probably awesome but in terms of cost/reliability is the attraction to coil overs that they are not only cheaper but you don't have to worry about replacing airmatic struts ever again?

Handling is going to be tons better if you get adjustable coilovers with rebound preferences and ride height. And reliable because never worry about them going out on you again. Those coilovers from BC or Ceika will last 100,000+ miles guarantee with no issues or time restraints, that why I'm doing it asap.
