Minding my own business...
Was out on 495N in Mass minding my own business heading to NH when a guy in an Evo kept darting about.
I was in the left lane doing 70ish, he was darting between the right and middle lane. He was not really trying to be that aggressive and I really was not looking for a duel.
This went on for about 6 miles, then he pulled up next to be in the middle lane want to have a go. I mean really an EVO?
Well it was my first "challenge" so I guess I had to accept. I let him "drop the flag" sort o speak with the horn.
I just dropped my foot into the accelerator and put about 2 miles in between me and him in about a 30 seconds.
I went about my biz not giving it or him another thought. Back to cruise control around 70ish again.
about 10 minutes later I'm in the left lane and here he comes up the right lane again. I figured one lashing a day was all he could handle so I pretty much ignored him. Out of the corner of my eye I see something going on with him. I look over and he has the drivers window rolled down and hanging out the window with both arms/hands giving me two thumbs up
Guess he was a real car guy who can take defeat in style

yeh man even if my e55 trapped 125mph, ide still expect an outcome of evo pulling me on highway if modded right. a kid I know has yellow evo 8. daily driven, runs high 9s , will trap mid 140s... admittedly there **** box tin cans, but obviously have there perks.

Very rare to see stock/close to stock ones nowadays.
There are two mid-low 11 second Evos in my neighborhood that I know of; likely more. They're nasty once you start adding all those bolt-ons.
I won't get into the Evos with turbo upgrades etc.
Always someone faster ...

Well congrats on your first kill. Not a fan of anyone darting about on the highway, but at least he was gracious in defeat.
Time to up the ante!
+1 There are several fast EVO's prowling around my neighborhood.

I say you got off real lucky!
When I had my E63, I went at it with some girl leaving the AF Base here and she was probably around 400 wheel horse and it was a lot closer race than I hoped for.

Good kill OP, but you're really lucky you didn't race a space shuttle. With a Stage 16 Saturn V turbo tune and bolt-on craziness, they trap a couple thousand mph. You're real lucky...
Why must people do this in every kill thread? Come on guys, he's not talking about every Evo. He's talking about THIS PARTICULAR Evo, which he beat. Who cares what some other Evo that he didn't race could do.

Take your beast to the track if you want to race and then discuss the results, everything else is just plain stupid, dangerous, and pointless. Our cars are nice and fast, but they are not race cars (so don't kid yourself).
