Those running split cooling...pump question
My buddy with a Sl55 full stage 3 from EC, intstalled at EC, is telling me that he only has one pump for the system, the Rule in tank pump in the trunk, I always thought you were supposed to retain the pump under the hood on the car in an addition to the pump in the rear, can someone please clear this up for me, thanks.

yes most people retain the pump in the front in addition to the Rule intank pump.
Flow pattern
SC > heat exchanger > rear tank and pump > front pump back to SC
Flow pattern

I'm sure the purpose of the trunk tank is to keep coolant flow moving. I don't believe there is any way a single front pump can adequately deal with moving that much extra fluid volume efficiently. Maybe I'm wrong but I know I would sleep better at night knowing things are working at their best.

I have two pumps, the Meziere and the Rule and I honestly think that my car can run on either one. I've unplugged one at a time and yes it does flow more with both pumps on but the Rule pump is no joke when running by itself.
