Keyless door sensors for 2007 e63
Hi,
Can anybody please tell me how hard is it to change keyless door sensors for 2007 e63. Both of my driver side doors sensors (driver and passenger) are not working.
Thank you !
Sergey

Super super easy. You'll need a rather long T20 driver.
When you open the door, look along the door jamb section of the door (somewhat in line with the door handle). There will be a rubber plug on the door.
Remove plug
If you look into the hole, you'll see a T20 torx head. Loosen this bolt (it wont come all the way out so just loosen until it stops)
Then you can remove the small triangular piece that the IR sensor is on by pulling it straight out.
To remove the door handle itself, simply tap the handle towards the rear of the car to slide it out of the door bearing bracket. There will be a plug on the end of the handle for the lock/unlock features.
Be careful when unplugging and plugging the connector back in, as it is on a swivel attached to the bearing bracket. If it comes out of its swivel, the window will hit it when raising and lowering, in which case you'll need to pull the door panel, and depending on how small your hands are, you may have to pull the glass to reattach the connector.
