No I meant stock blower/cooler vs. aftermarket blower/cooler. Both running 15lbs for example, all other mods being equal.

I have just done some significant mods: trunk tank, bigger pump, along with a whole lot of data logging stuff. I'll have some really good info in <1 week.

I made this thread to hopefully explain the diferences bet Weistec/Speedriven blowers

1) those that think the Speedriven IC core is smaller are again wrong (talk to actual tuner before spreading yet more disinformation)

2) I wasn't incorrect on 2ndary SMOG pump removal on Weistec stage (3) build install.. I said... "I could be wrong & Weistec could've misunderstood my Q's I was told it was a factor on Weistecs N/A 3.0 liter 63 build & the Stage (3) Weistec wont pass SMOG. The misunderstanding was it doesn't apply to the 55k 3.0 liter Weistec blower..

My trying to be helpful ends in childish critcism from a quick Iphone post (spelling.. marshaled mass sophomoric internet courage) to plethora of skimming readers posting/making summations on things I didn't even say or mean.. Carry on... PS update us on how many of you critics actually buy any brand 3 liter blower & install it (barring the few minority of REAL members here who don't just flap their gums about mods they'll never purchase)

I noticed that the Whipple sits lower than the stock blower.
Being I'm pretty familiar with the M113, that would lessen the space between the valley and blower thus limiting the core size to one that's smaller than stock.

What did Speedriven say the dimensions of their IC core were?

Does anyone happen to know the dimensions of Speedriven's IC core?
I agree, I think it's fair to say I have a pretty good familiarity with the space under the SC and I would just like to know the size of the core they used? It's not like it needs to be a secret. I understand if they don't want to talk about power and things of that nature until it's finished, the size of the IC core seems like it must be pretty much fixed.

I think what Try Me was saying earlier in the thread is that the surge tanks are higher because of the adapter plate, making the supercharger look lower.

That's just a mock up from a while ago. It does not use the oem intercooler. It's a fabricated unit. I believe they just mocked up the oem one as a idea to see how much room they had to work with.

Speedriven's 2.9 blower will be 50 state legal (according to Konrad, new employee.. Also says it's making great power)
My GT3076 Turbs & custom manifolds for my SL will be in my hands in 6-8 weeks

So to ALL you wondering if Speedriven was going anywhere? Not logistically, but moving the HP/TQ off the charts!
Any updates?

Speedriven
The car is in its developmental stage. The video provided is with 10 psi pulley which it put down 500whp at a dyno jet( dyno which we have used for years) The car previously made 508whp(around 15 psi) 180 asp pulley, 82mm tb, mbh header, injectors, and a trunk tank. With 5 psi less the the new charger is it around the same power. We are currently testing 10, 14 and 17 psi pulleys. Along with the pulleys we are testing different intake setups. More official number and stats are coming in the next few weeks, when all testing is final and the car has been driven for awhile. Two more kits are in production now, one for a local customer and the other one for a customer that will be doing an engine build with us. There are a few guys interested in just the hardware kits which will be tailored to peoples specs. Meaning what tb, pulley and so on. We have came to an agreement with Jerry(eurocharged), due to people wanting to use eurocharged for their tuning will be an option. The kits will be basically matched to the customers current mods, making it more affordable(instead of buying parts you all ready have in one set kit) Please keep in mind this is just an update and not a official release. For more info and pricing contact us at info@speedriven.com. We will be updating more regularly now that its closing to the finish line, we appreciate the patience and interest.

Wondering about the cone filters, realize this is only development stage but what gains are expected from drawing in the hot air after being forced thru the rad, are you going to put some kind of barrel filter on the finished product and draw air thru the front scoops. Besides that any more horsepower and you will have to chain the motor down to the frame, good pull.

Did this car originally started as a E55k(with factory AMG supercharger)? And is in the process of getting a Speedriver 2.0/3.0 blower to be more efficient?

yes the car was a modded e55k dyno'ed 508whp at 15 psi with a stock amg blower, with our charger at 10 psi and same mods dyno'ed 500whp. So it seems to be very efficient.
