Seriously though, I am not even a fan of CF but would take a shifter knob! I think you can sell hundreds of these! You should figure out how to make it work IMO! Maybe get a hold of Shardul and buy his shifter knobs from his parts cars and start there!

A PDK shift knob we did for a Porsche GT3. We can do something similar with MB shift knobs:

Couple of W211 pieces wrapped in a blue reflective thread fabric. More progress pics on these soon:
