Diagnostic help please on my new transmission issue
After seeing the other thread on herky-jerky transmissions, I thought I would ask for the forum to weigh in on my transmission issue. The S65 has begun to jerk, buck, and shift fairly harshly when cold. The second the car warms up, it goes away and shifts normally, but occasionally will hang onto a gear when downshifting (surging the car forward, which can be a bit harrowing) and it also occasionally feels like a powerboat, like the torque converter is slipping under hard acceleration like I started in second. The dealer did a Trans flush and a reset via the computer, didn't do anything at all. They are ordering me a TC under warranty, but that doesn't sit right to me, except it may resolve the powerboat-like feeling. I would imagine if it was the TC it wouldn't go away when warm. Anyone care to share thoughts on what it might be? thanks! Z

I dont think replacing the convertor will solve the problem. I think the trans will have to be opened up and inspected. There are a lot of teflon seals that can go bad.
The 722.xxx trans are very easy to work one.
But you should not worry becuase the car is under warranty and will get fixed eventually it may take a couple of trips to the dealer.
