cup holders

Not the sexiest topic but has anyone come up with a decent cupholder solution? Maybe something that mounts on the transmission hump or door pocket.

It really is incredible how brain dead Benz was when designing the interiors...everytime I get in car I look around for more cupholders and I just can't find them!

I assume you're looking for rear cupholders? I also assume you know about the ones in the rear armrest?

I actually meant in the front but rears would be fine. I only use it once a week or so, so don't condemn me for actually looking for the first time on Sunday! lol...but I didn't see any! I have an 04 e55, are they in an 04? If so, then I am really brain dead! lol

On my '06, if you fold down the rear armrest, the press the front of it, not the top, 2 cupholders will pop out. They aren't very deep & I usually have my 3 boys with me if anyone is in the rear seat, so I don't use them at all. I'm not sure if your '04 would have them.

Does you clamshell center console not have cupholders? I have the rolltop lid with 2 holders underneath. I've never really paid that much attention to the clamshell design.

Mine pops up right behind the shifter and it is one holder but really 2 because you put one in the spot where it pops up. Problem there is that the damn thing is kinda in the way when driving. I'll check the rear again when I get home. Thanks

I was looking for suggestions for the front because as far as the average human is concerned the transformer one is more decepticon than autobot if you know what i mean.

This place is a joke.
Germans don't understand cupholders. Ashtrays, yes.

I just pulled the whole cupholder assembly out of my 03. Makes for a bigger space that can hold a larger drink (usually only me in the car). When I don't have a drink it's a perfect space for my keys, phone and other junk I have in my pocket.

Makes me glad to have the rolltop console.
