Have you gone into the service menu and monitored the oil level in real time while the engine is running. If my memory serves me correctly, mine reads between 6 and 7 quarts during steady state cruise at lower RPM's.

I have seen on some M113 motors when the pcv get bad and puts oil in the intake. so upon start up it sends the oil into the motor
