Simple reasons to avoid certain shops

If you have trouble getting in touch with anyone at a business, you should probably avoid doing business with them. It seems to me that a lot of people are complaining about calls not being returned, emails not being answered, etc. Then the customer comes on the forum to try and get some answers.

If you have to go through all of that, you should probably find someone else to do business with. A business should keep certain hours that customers should be able to rely on. They should have someone that answers calls within those hours. Why else would someone be in business.

The worst excuse is that they are busy because they have so many orders and they just concentrate on getting the work done. It means that you are not efficient at what you do or you are not a good business person. No matter what the reason, you should not be doing business with them

Does anyone agree with me?

No.

Eurocharged isn't always easy to reach, but that's because they do a lot of events and travel to do in-person dyno tuning.

MBH makes some of the nicest headers around for the E55, but Mike does it as side-work because he enjoys it. That means that he isn't always answering a phone or checking MBWorld throughout the day.

I agree that unresponsiveness is annoying, and could be indicative of a more serious issue but IMHO you need to consider the entire reputation of the vendor and consider how actively they support the members, and how willing they are to answer questions in an open forum like MBWorld.

I can speak for myself. I try to respond ASAP to text messages and PMs, I think people can attest to this. I dont make excuses that I am busy, working later hours, dont get on the forums, updating my FB / instagram page etc etc. I try to be direct, clear and to the point.

I myself would not be happy doing business with someone that does not get back to me after a week of trying to get in touch with them. I have no problem if I send an email at the end of the week and do not get a response to my email until the beginning of the next week, I understand that people have lives outside of their business and I expect them to as well.

I just would not have faith in a company that disappears for weeks on end and cannot return calls to paying clients. When people question them on the forums everyone says that they are just busy building everyones parts, I think it is time for that person to take their business more seriously and allow the business to grow by improving the customer service to the client.

I am just going off of what I have been reading on here lately and am not looking at throwing anyone under the bus, just hoping to demonstrate what this particular customer (me) expects.

Timely communication is an important ingredient in building solid relationships, be they personal or business.
My customers are made aware going in that I’m busy tending to business, but also know that any voicemails/texts/emails will be returned pronto.

I can attest that the customer service dept at Shards Inc is top notch
I recently was witness to a disgruntled french canadian (named after a marvel superhero) on the phone with customer service, his problem was rectified immediately on a Sunday.
