help on some stilettos

I'm Newbie looking for some help on some rims and wheel fitment. just picked up my 06 beast and I was already looking to change it a little. Really like the Vossen wheels the VVS-CV3's. I was thinking 19's or 20's.any thoughts. I've read some post I can't seem figure it out if 20's rub or not if lowered.

This is pretty informative if you're looking at Vossen 20s

20s are heavy and will require you have a very small sidewall - bad for ride quality and if you hit a big pothole, cross your fingers...

20s look great, but the weight and tire implications are not a good choice IMHO.

That said, I went the other extreme (pure performance) and went with the lightest widest rims I could find. So we may have different objectives.

Thanks for your input cij911. That's why I'm asking for some input. Plus from I can gather not to many tire choices in that range either. would 19's be a better choice? It's only one size bigger than I have now and have more choices in tires.

19s vs 18s is really just a looks thing...there are plenty of tire options with both, but the 19" route will weigh more, be more expensive, and less comfortable. The other consideration is that as you reduce the sidewall, it enhances the visual reference in the wheel well (meaning you need to lower the car more for the same visual appearance). Lowering the car too much reduces the suspension travel and further degrades ride quality.

19s really look nice on the car and I struggled with the 18 vs 19 decision. In the end I went with 18s for performance and comfort reasons. Looks wise, with the small amount my car has been lowered, the 19s would have looked great.

Thanks cij911,I think I'm going to go with 19's. I have factory 18's and one size bigger might not make much of a difference I don't think. What size tire might suite the vvs-cv3's?
