Wow rained out is absolutely terrible for all the guys who traveled great distances to run there. A lot of money out the window for preparation and the trip as well. Perhaps they can do it tomorrow instead if they don't have something else already planned for tomorrow?
Looks like yesterday was a great day there too, such a shame.
A ZR1 that ran at MIR yesterday.

Just got back from the MIR track event.
It was a bust.
The word on the street is the Weistec folks refused to give up and left MIR on the hunt for another track to run on....

Atco is 3 hours away from MIR for the Weistec guys...I was there last night. Ran my CTSV and went a 10.69@130.32 mph with minor mods on E85.

Rain is why I didn't roll there, I would've been pissed and I was just going to be a spectator. I feel real bad for the guys who traveled 10+ hours only to be rained out, damn.
This is exactly why you can never trust the weather predictions. They were calling for 50s and partly cloudy. Not even CLOSE.

That ZR1 was at MIR today as well.

Sure stinks that the weather couldnt cooperate and have the track dry, esp with so many people traveling so far away. On the way home, my car decided to poop 90miles away from home and expensive cab (tow) ride back. Dropped it off at my indy. Believe its the CPS sensor that decided to go bye bye on me and sc pulley spring broke.

I'm beside MIR at the motocross track right now for a race and it's so foggy the outside of the goggles would be wet in a lap plus they backed practice off for an hour hoping the fog would lift so we could hit the bigger jumps and see the landings. Not looking good for anyone trying to go to MIR today.

It is just so incredible how f**kin bad they are! I feel so bad for the guys that traveled really far for the MIR event! Even this morning...I watch the weather at midnight last night, check online and watch it again at 5:45 this morning. All of them said some sun early then cloudy but NO RAIN till later tonight! Go out in my car to catch some runs at the beach and cloudy as hell and then drizzle starts at 9am! Weathermen should die!

You too man, hopefully next time is better for both of us
I went back and got two runs in today, would've been silly to just drive back to MI after the rain out. 2.3 60fts and my traps were 6-7mph off from back home. Walked DC most of yesterday and got silly with an old friend and some ladies in Baltimore last night at a local bar, no complaints

Yea it's a nice track but Beasley (owner) seems to not care like he used to and keeps making the track more like the European tracks with split lanes and difficult sections and with that comes injuries. I can't remember the last time I was there that they didn't medivac someone out and sometimes multiple people. Today was no different but they believe a guy had a heart attack. Really messes you up seeing someone on a board having CPR done 20ft in front of you.

We want to say thanks to Ahmad for working hard to set up the event at MIR. Unfortunately the track conditions weren't favorable. We also want to say thank you to all the new members we met. It was fun catching up with everyone. We made a few hits at Atco and the car ran a best of 9.75 @ 153 mph and a 4.32 60-130 mph. Track prep was decent but the car was having trouble out of the hole. 1.60's 60 ft on our best pass. We have videos and pics coming soon! Thanks guys!

Thanks, it is an M156 record but there is an SLR that ran 9.68 a year or so back which is the Mercedes world record. Once you see, or should I say hear the video you will see we left a lot on the table. The 9.75 was done with a lot of peddling, could not find traction. The car made several 9.xx passes and several 150+mph passes on Sunday. This was our first time out at a quarter mile with the car(in this state of tune and set up) and we were really still dialing everything in. I was really hoping to be able to soend an entire day running the car at Ahmads event but instead only got a handful of passes at Atco. I am still very happy with the outcome and the results thus far. Weistec has busted their butts building me this car and making sure it is fast, reliable and safe.
Stay tuned for the video and slips.
