I need to start datalogging and I'm curious what device/system you guys are using, if there's a DIY on how to see what your AITs are and differences when the weather changes.
Is there a DIY or step-by-step on how to use, read etc.?
Thanks!

I have been using the ELM327 adapter and Torque app as well. Very useful app for beginners. I would highly recommend it, although the datalogging can get very sluggish depending on how many PIDs your monitoring. Overall, best $45 data logger out there.

There is a free version, although the paid version is worth it. Many more options and capabilities with the paid version. I think it was only $5 or so.
You can even set up custom PID's

Guys, I'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff.
What else do I need besides the app? Where can buy an OBD adapter?
I haven't setup the bluetooth in my car yet...need to do that this weekend.

The car doesn't need blue tooth. All you need, literally, is an android phone with blue tooth and the app, and the adapter. That's all. Unfortunately IOS has no apps due to their strict policy on blue tooth accessories. I was going use my Ipad for this, but no apps support it.

Is this it?
Which one do you guys use?

You guys get AITs readings? Accurate for the most part?

I'm running the Zeitronix ZT-2, ZT-3, and boost sensor integrated into and displayed on a DashDAQ XL. It's probably the best and most versatile option for our cars. I have a real-time readout of IATs, timing, TPS, RPM, left and right bank AFRs, EGTs, short term and long term fuel trims. Data logging requires just one press of the touchscreen and is stored on an SD card. I can read and clear codes and the GPS input (optional) means I can record speed and acceleration runs. It's a pretty awesome setup and I'm glad I went for it. I recently got the alarm module and will be using that to trigger my meth injection at 70% throttle or 7psi of boost.
Bramage made a custom AMG skin for it and has like nine gauges displayed simultaneously on the screen. It's neat. It makes you pay attention to what's going on with your engine and that helps you learn.

All the hardware is around $1k on their site. Some of this can be found cheaper through other vendors and even on amazon.com

I got the buddy hook-up on the install price. Don't recall, but somewhere around $2-300. A cheap price to pay for peace of mind.

I am stock, so not in a situtation like you big pulley, TB etc. guys where I have to keep my eye diligently on my AITs, timing and such... but I'd still like to see trends when we're in the humid summer months versus < 30' weather...
I just need to find the correct OBDII adapter to sync with my Android...
