AMG Crest
How many of you, actually know what the Affalterbach Crest stands for? Specifically the meaning behind the symbols in the AMG crest (laurel leafs, half apple tree, the piston valve/spring and camshaft?
Well if you don't know, the tree is an apple tree as the town of Affalterbach sits in the middle of many apple orchards...the apple tree is above a river which symbolizes the nearby Neckar River...
On the right you have a camshaft lobe and a valve & valve spring which symbolizes that they are manufacturers of engines...
The laurels is symbolic of the laurel wreath that is put around the neck of racers when they won back in that time period...
Now you know

I thought I heard Affalterbach translated to "apple town"
I always thought a vanity plate with "apple" in it would be cool but could never work the abbreviation out...lol
