I've ordered from these guys before and they offer free shipping for orders over 50.00 but under 10lbs.... I've been trolling for rotors cuz I need some in the next 5k or so. Any better options closer to CA would be appreciated.

I ended up with oem rotors for like 95 a piece shop price. These are heavy so shipping cost is also high.

Toadster,

I was looking at the Premium Dimpled and Slotted rotors on the site you were talking about. Lifetime warranty??? What do yo think? Anybody had any experience with these rotors? Mine are starting to crack and will need to be replaced soon.

Not sure I want to go with stock rotors...but also dont want to spend $1500 on some 2 piece set up either.

Check out this link, kind of the direction i'm heading.

changing my pads to akebonos - just for the dust reduction to be honest...

http://e55-amg.blogspot.com/2013/03/...-pads-omg.html

my pads are a little over 1/2 way, but I just can't stand the dust my car stays clean looking for about 1/2 a day currently...

I've been told otherwise but I think my rotors need replacing. My mechanic told me that they will last me at least until my pads wear out

and the pads on the car basically have 70-80% life on them right now.

So that's why I was wondering if changing just the rotors is a good thing or a bad thing ?

I don't care about the brake dust, so when I do change pads I'd go with the same OEM or something with a better grip/bite/stopping lol

No, you definitely want to install new pads if you are changing out your rotors. They need to wear in together. Besides, youve got the breaks torn apart anyways and it would take an extra 15 seconds to put new pads in.

Toadster- going with the Discitalia's and ESB pads. Ordered them this morning. I will let you know how they work out...

BTW, my new set of DiscItalia's are on some truck in the middle of this storm and should be here by Friday. My ESB reds and wear sensors are already here. Plan to install them this weekend and will post pictures of them when they arrive.

Yep, seeing you E55 guys shopping for lower priced rotors is cruel..

I just replaced the fronts on my E63 with Racing Brake rotors and their ET500 pads. http://www.racingbrake.com/Two-piece...ONT-p/2141.htm

Very happy with the performance so far, after a week on the car. Seems to be less dust than the OEM pads for sure.
