OEM Belt vs Aftermarket... Price aside

I'm getting to order new belts and I'm a little confused as far as to what I should order. I have stock pulleys and not sure what would be best.

From my research it seems like the OEM belts are better quality, but more expensive. The price doesn't bother me, this doesn't seem like the type of thing to nickel and dime. The belts were last changed about 20k ago and still look great, oem belts. The car is going from stock to some basic bolt ons, nothing that should push the car over 450whp.

Both OEM belts cost about $80 shipped. Many of you run the Gates Green belt along with the continental serpentine belt.

Which are stronger? I plan to change the serpentine belt yearly and the s/c belt every 5k.

And for those that will say search. I swear on my cars life I've read every belt thread on this whole site haha I haven't found an exact answer to my question.

the Gates Fleetrunner belts are some of the better belts out there and they're only $32 for the supercharger belt... Jaguar uses them on their cars.

I have a lot of the parts listed on the common parts sticky

Lets say they were the same price, which one would you buy?


And that thread is the bomb! I used it last night to order a bunch of stuff, the two belts and the bosch 10 pump are all thats left. Thank you very much, I know you put a few hours work into it.

I'd buy the cheaper of the two :-)

If you service everything well, OEM should last the service life

You're killing me man haha I'm going to stick with OEM until I play with the pulley's then I'll go with the 505 that you run.
