I'm wondering because I've always done my own oil changes and tune up on all my cars. But I'm going from American made cars to my first Mercedes.

So....is the oil change and tune up something I can easily do myself in my garage at home.....?

How much does it cost for parts to do it myself...?

What parts do I need?

Oil change and filter cost.....how many quarts..?

Just for oil, filter and new drain plugs and gaskets= $60.00 for an oil change. Not bad.

How often for the SCer oil to be changed?

Is a tune up just spark plugs and air filter mainly? About $100.00....?

$459.00 for a fuel filter. Seriously. How often for that?

My Trans Am is hell to change spark plugs.......how long does it usually take on an E55.....?

considering there are 16 plugs and at min $7.00 each plug you can expect the plugs and air filters would set you back closer $150..

Depending on mileage a set of wires is not a bad idea..

The plug change is not so bad. just use the correct spark plug boot wrench and it will be a breeze. I usually take the coils off gives you a lot more room to work..

Oh man.....I had no idea they had 2 spark plugs per cylinder.........I am certainly a newbie.

$150.00 isn't bad either for a tune-up. Yea, I'll check the wires and get a new set if needed.

How often for the SC'er fluid change.....?
