If you have star, you can remove the braided line to the fuel rail on the fire wall side, connect a hose to it, and "activate pumps" in Star. That's how I did it. The fitting for the hard line is a metric fitting but I can't remember the thread size. I'm pretty sure you can get a hose around the hard line with a clamp and call it good...

The easiest way to drain the tank is:
Connect a fuel pressure gauge fitting to the port on the fuel rail.
Connect a long enough hose to this line to reach the receptacle you are going to fill.
Start the engine.
If you are going to be filling multiple containers. You can clamp the line with pliers. This will allow you to swap containers without spillage.
The engine will run without any concerns. Draining the tank in this method allows the siphon jet system to work properly. Draining both sides of the tank.
