i just upgraded to an iphone 5S and cant seem to connect to bluetooth. Had no problem with my iphone 5. Is there some sort of reset feature i dont know about?

Thats odd, try resetting your phone to factory settings. keep in mind the iphone 5s uses version 4.0+HS Bluetooth. It may just be that the software on your car unit needs to be updated.

Although I thought Bluetooth was backwards compatible.

How can I reset the phone to factory settings when i haven't made any changes to begin with? its possible that i need to upgrade the software on the car, would the dealer know if this is necessary or possible? thanks for your feedback.

Yes absolutely, your going to need to update your car unit. Unfortunately I don't know if they have an update out for it, since the 5s is so new.

try a reset back to original..under settings>General > reset...

My iphone 5 would not connect to a brand new pair of BT headphones. I reset it and it would connect after that..
