Ready for MIR!

Car is done and ready to go...621rwhp 640 rwtq on that all wheel drive Mainline dyno that always reports low numbers...I was impressed but not as impressed as how it runs! Hoping for some good times at MIR!

Mods are: A6 auto, Air raid CAI, corsa exhaust, 2.55 upper, lower pulley, front cats removed and some pipe work, 160 stat, tuned by Enzo racing on E85, ID850cc injectors, NT05 DR's.

Probably will catch a couple of runs tomorrow night, Tues., so I will try and video them to post here for you guys.

Good numbers bro

lol sorry I've no clue what the base numbers are but the number seems good
to me

I'd just assume from reading here that , to get our beast to that level
it'll require a lot of work and a fortune but things are looking up since the FSP
seems to give out (80mm) around 70-80 rwhp.

Make videos

He is speaking of his CTS-V making that power.

Thanks.

Base is around 420-450 depending on all the variables...my base was 420rwhp bc of low reading dyno so I gained 200rwhp.

What is giving the AMG 70-80rwhp? Upper pull or TB?

I will try and get videos but I need a passenger for that! I'll see what I can do...don't have a Go-pro.

I believe that he knew that but hey...maybe you're right!

did the shop who tuned the car decide on the injectors? seems like a small injector to push corn thru. most running e85 use 2000 cc injectors or bigger. just wondering. with winter coming watch the ethanol content in your area and the tune. most northern state hit low e70 during this time. as an example my buddy has a pro-efi setup and running e85 never sees any ethanol above e80 at any station he has gotten the fuel from

Being a huge AMG fan...I hope those are real numbers bc it would make now possible to bring these up in HP much more inexpensively.

They're very little kernels going thru the injectors!
I have heard all about the content in the ethanol...I need to get a tester and test the stuff each time. I have a 250 gal tank that I can fill up with good stuff and just keep using that all winter or I can mix the real good stuff with it. It was tuned on whatever we got so if it was lower than normal then it was tuned on lower then normal stuff...probably left 50whp on the table!

Is this your first time on the corn? I will be interested to see how your car behaves in the winter up there. Do you know what fuel pumps your shop used?

Steve-

The ID 850cc injectors are perfect for the CTSV, and alot of guys done here run them on E85. You start moving up to 2000cc injectors on the smaller motors like the 4 cyl.

My bad...torque was 640 not 610...Looked like a 1 to me not a 4!

Never ran corn...winter I will mix the good e85... and fuel pumps?

Stock pumps Craig. If he is running straight E85 he has about 20whp left maybe before he drops pressure. On a 48% ethanol content tune a guy recently did 690whp in a manual and then dropped pressure. After that, just add a Kenne Bell boost a pump for a little more and can make close to 750. That particular car went from like 608whp on pump gas to like 688whp with only change being the E85 with the additional timing in the tune.

Brian you should look in to getting the ethanol sensor plug and play kit and then you can mix fuel or run any e85 and not worry about if it is true e85 or not. Get the tune adjusted for different ethanol content percentages and the car will just adjust when the sensor reads whatever you are running at the time. The member Dsteck on vowners will have his complete plug and play deal ready soon for under $500 or you can get the current stuff for like $250 then you just have to make your own little setup. I would just wait for his finalized setup though.

can you supply a link for this setup? interested to see how it works. any chance it can be used with different dme's?

60nomad be careful storing the corn. it absorbs water very quickly. you may want to try a smaller container and refill more frequently. also use plastic containers.

craig its amazing how many different setups the corn has! no way you could run 850cc injectors on corn on the pcar. 2000 cc minimum. shoot im running 750cc injectors just to fuel the setup i have with 510 rwhp!

Had a **** load of issues lol. Oil line bursted, oil cooler fittings were stripped and had to order a new one. A.c condensor leaking replaced that. Had the mounts put in all around.

After the install I'm afraid my tune was wiped due to a software update on my Ecu. I just re-flashed the car yesterday to the tune I had. I also had my tcu reset. Power feels there again but the shifts are still sometimes stock and die times fast. It's also still pausing at times. I was told wait 100 miles for the tcu to adapt. After this I'll have tried everything to get this tcu to shift properly. You guys heading out tonight anywhere?

It is a GM (General Motors) standard flex fuel sensor like would come in a flex fuel Tahoe or whatever. Then the ecu in the Cadillac has the availability to unlock the flex fuel stuff with the tuning software EFI Live.

I was going to ask a friend of mine today about storing that fuel...so I guess I do not have to ask anymore! lol thanks

On to plan B! Don't quite know what plan B is yet but I will ask Dave! URB? HELP!

2006 E55 AMG
I had 50 gallons of e85 stored in 5 gallon plastic fuel cans stored in my garage last winter. I stored the summer blend as it has the highest E85 content and actually tested E90 through my tester.

Word to the wise, dont do that, lol. The corn got very thick which you could not see through the red plastic cans. Using that method, it would take me at least 15minutes to try and get my car started when it was 50* or colder. I asked about the pumps Brian/David because not all fuel pumps are E85 compatible. I learned that over the past year by going through 4 aeromotive 340lph stealth pumps that were claimed to be E85 compatible, well they are not:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...tive-pump.html

The E85 fuel, and the fact that it can get thicker in the winter if the blend is not mixed correctly can cause havoc on the pumps. It corroded the black coating off the stealth pumps turbines, clogged them up and caused primature failure. Another thing you will need is a E85 specific fuel filter.

I love E85, the smell, pricing, and performance you can get out of it. There is however alot of headaches that go along with it that I hope you dont experience. If have any questions down the road, hit me up, odds are I have experienced it all on the corn.

Do you know how much timing they run in the CTS-V E85 cars?
