Boost question

What psi should I be seeing 168 lower 84 upper pulley ,kleemann headers and kleemann cams that chart says around 14 but headers and cams may lower that number

About 12psi or so
You don't have much restriction and that's all boost is, a measure of restriction

Rather be making 500hp with only 11psi vs. 500hp with 13psi
Less heat on the motor and less stress on the motor

I run MBH long tubes, no cams, 168/84 and see 12lbs.

How do you like the cams, have they made a difference worth mentioning?

I know Kevin and his car pretty well and it runs real well. I would love to find someone who has the same stuff as him...less the cams...and see what they ran at the track and/or dyno numbers. I strongly believe that he would run just into the 10's with a tire and that is without a dyno tune! At worst I think 11.0x. IMO

Kustom2k1: I just watched your vid...good run for sure but I strongly think that cntrline's car will trap more like 123-124mph but I see that you are in Fla. so that would make a dif as well. What were the temps outside when you ran that?

Sorry 60 didn't see your ??

It was in the mid 60s with ****ty DA as usual here in S FL. I'm sure I would pick up a .10 or .20 running at Atco in Nov/Dec.

I'm seeing roughly a max of ~11.2psi (using my datalog app) with only an 84mm upper (stock crank). I want my boost to stay as is and would rather make more "efficient" power, say with headers, than with more boost.

Like the previous poster said, I'd rather make the same amount of power with less boost rather than more boost.
