Ring gear torque spec???
#2
I took a look in my wis and see if i cant find anything specific for the newer models. I was able to find the spec for 124, 170, 202, and 210's... and they were all 85Nm... probably because MB wants you to replace the whole thing if something went wrong I guess... but you can buy carrier bearings??? confuses me still. That torque should be sufficient. Or you could just use the fail safe german torque spec of Goodntite. I have a friend that owns an Indy shop and he has installed several WAVETRAC diffs. He used an impact and gave them a good tap. no issues so far. Hope this helps.

Ive done the same on all my LSD swaps. Hitting them with an impact gun and using some red loctite. Never had any issues with high hp…..
Not sure if AMG is the same but, the ones I've done on some imports the bolt thread was opposite if that makes sense. I had to tighten to loosen and loosen to tighten on the impact gun. I used a good impact gun not those weak home depot cheepo impact guns. GL!
