Replacing front struts. Difficult?
Just picked up two front struts for my 63. Wondering if it's something my general mechanic can do or should I go to a Mercedes specialist?

I have replaced some with arnott struts and not bad at all. Dealer charged warranty around 1500 as I recall and one my cars and next time I did them myself for about 380 each.

it's not difficult at all with the right tools and star. in fact, iirc, it took longer to get the car jacked up and the wheel off than it did to swap the strut...
